Flaming Flamingos
Elizabeth Sarte (aka Liz) and Mandy Nurrenbern (aka Mandy), both Nomads Rogues through and through, had the privilege of traveling with the new touring motley team of the Philippines, the Flaming Flamingos, to represent at the ERC Women Friendship Cup in Sandakan, Borneo.
Flaming Flamingos were made up of Eagles, Mavericks, Cebu, and Rogues! With no practice together as a team, we finally got together and played on Saturday, 29 October 2022.

Eagles Rugby Club of Borneo (Sandakan, Malaysia) were amazing hosts. A cancelled tournament turned out to be a fun day of 10s between 3 teams: Borneo Eagles, Flaming Flamingos, and Keningau Angles. It was an extremely memorable rugby weekend with lots of fun, games, and dancing made possible by our local Eagle RFC.
ELIZABETH SARTE
Liz has been playing for the Rogues since it started in 2018 and is currently its Team Manager and Social Media Guru. She is true blast to play with on and off the field.
MANDY NURRENBERN
Mandy is a fresh addition to the Rogues but nonetheless is already vital to its development as she shares her years of experience in the sport to the team. She has fallen in love with rugby in the Philippines and can’t wait for more games and more women to come play!
